Join Black Fridays for the Black Business Scavenger Hunt, an interactive experience taking over Detroit's historic Avenue of Fashion!

How It Works

Grab your friends, build a team, or come ready to join one. You'll have a limited amount of time to explore the Avenue of Fashion while completing challenges, earning points and competing for prizes.

Along the way, you may be challenged to:

• Discover Black-owned businesses you've never visited

• Meet and engage with local entrepreneurs

• Complete photo and video challenges

• Make purchases and support local businesses

• Learn something new about the Avenue of Fashion

• Get creative to earn bonus points

Your phone will be your scavenger hunt headquarters. Teams will submit their completed challenges digitally throughout the hunt, and points will be tallied to determine our winners.

What You Need

Bring: A charged smartphone, comfortable shoes and your competitive spirit.

Come ready to: Explore, meet new people, support Black-owned businesses and have some fun.

Cost: FREE to participate. Participants are encouraged to bring spending money to support businesses along the Avenue.

It isn't just about finishing first! Prizes will be awarded across multiple categories, including our overall Scavenger Hunt Champion and special awards recognizing exploration, community engagement, creativity and support of Black-owned businesses.
